2 GRAND is a live music duo built around the relationship between a grandfather and grandson performing together. I developed their visual identity around that personal and approachable character, creating the logo, color palette, website, event posters, business cards, and photography. The project focuses on building a cohesive identity that could move easily between digital promotion, live events, and physical materials while still feeling authentic to the musicians themselves.
The Challenge
2 GRAND needed a visual identity that could represent both the personal story behind the band and the variety of environments in which they perform. As a grandfather-and-grandson duo, their identity needed to feel approachable and authentic while still functioning professionally across event promotion, digital platforms, and print materials. They also needed a platform to inform their fanbase of upcoming shows and performances and to reach new listeners.
The Solution
I developed a cohesive identity centered on the relationship between the two musicians, creating a logo and color palette that draw inspiration from the Taylor guitars they play, which have been gifted through the generations, as well as a website, easily updated promotional posters, business cards, and photography. I designed each application to reinforce the same personality and visual language while remaining flexible enough to support different venues and performances.
The Results
The project established a recognizable visual identity that could move consistently between the brand’s website, live-event promotion, and physical materials. The completed system gave 2 GRAND a professional presence without losing the personal character that makes the duo distinct.
